The Color Association : Founded in 1915, The Color Association of The United States creates and delivers global color intelligence across industries. A membership based organization headquartered in New York City, the Color Association serves as premier forecast agent, specialized educator, and trusted advisor to color professionals whose responsibility is to ensure marketplace success for their color decisions in the realm of brands, product and service, and spatial environments. Their mission is to capture and deliver color value to businesses and educators and empower color conscious decisions. With a long history of success The Color Association remains a leading establishment in the field of color. In the early half of the 20th century, The Association’s primary purpose was to support textile manufacturers in creating market-ready products for the ready-to-wear industry. Back then the Association’s committees included hat, glove, and hosiery manufacturers- the trendsetters of the day. Today, they continue to rely on carefully selected thought leaders in the areas of fashion, accessories, product, and interior design to work with them on their current lineup of Women’s, Men’s, Youth, and Interiors/Environmental forecasts. This combination of cutting-edge trend insight and realistic market knowledge is invaluable in keeping their forecasts relevant for designers, marketers, and product developers.

ColorCom Research : Since 1997, they have been gathering data from all over the world. The current database of approximately half a million entries is a compilation of demographic information based on nationality, gender, and age with respect to color associations and color preferences. As such, it has become the first database of its kind.

Color Matters : Color Professor Jill Morton welcomes you to the world of color.  Before the arrival of the World Wide Web, she served as faculty at the University of Hawaii School of Architecture, Chaminade University, and Matsuda Technology Center. Today, she presents seminars about color and marketing, color theory and everything that color impacts.

Color Guides : According to ColorGuides.net, "How then can you identify which colors are hot and which are not? One thing you can do is pay better attention to your surroundings. Anything that’s new is probably incorporating the latest color trends – that new building going up downtown, a neighbor’s kitchen, new car models, most anything being advertised in a magazine, and especially clothing. If you’re noticing the same shades of color or a similar color direction, meaning colors are warmer or cooler, lighter or darker, clearer or greyer, etc. chances are you’ve stumbled upon a color trend."

American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists : AATCC is the world’s leading not-for-profit association serving textile professionals. AATCC provides test method development, quality control materials, and professional networking for thousands of members in 60 countries throughout the world.
